Chose the 32.50 menu.
The Good: The food here was very good, particularly the lamb chops, maybe the best lamb chops I have eaten. The scallops I had for first course we're good quality, but I did not care for the vanilla sauce all that much, just personal taste. One of my dining companions had the fried fois gras, and he loved it. The deserts are what you would expect at a fancy French restaurant, lovely and sweet.
Our waiter was very sweet, and friendly, and a guitarist strolled through and played some lovely music briefly, so bring a few euro coins to tip the musician.
Gratuity was included in the bill, but we still gave a 10 euro tip for the waiter on top of that because he was really hustling, and all the while he had a genuine smile on his face.
The Bad: We sat outside, and the Flies and little gnats or mosquitos were annoying, so you will want to put on some bug spray. This is not the fault of the restaurant though, the warm spring has increased the flies all over southern France.
One other thing is that they have these rubbery table runners going across the table so that they hang in front of you and the person across from you, and touch your legs. It was so annoying to me that I tucked it up under itself. This might not bother others, but I found it to be a strange choice. Still, you can just tuck it up to put it out of your way.
All in all, I do recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a fancy French...
Read moreThe food and dining experience we had here was excellent. I would give 10 stars if I could. My husband and I agreed this was altogether the best food we have ever eaten. The flavors were rich and exquisite, and the service calm and kind and patient! As I spoke minimal French, we appreciated this so much! Their soupe de poisson was the best we had while in Southern France, and my husband's entree (I think it was truffles with garlic sauce) was beyond amazing. We took turns taking slow bites because all you wanted to do was savor the flavor. Thank you Le Plaza chef and staff, for such a wonderful experience! We hope to...
Read moreCame here for dinner on recommendation by my hotel and very satisfied with both the food and the service. The Soupe de Poisson was bursting with flavour and very comforting on a rainy and chilly spring evrning. The fillet of white fish (I’m guessing it’s cod) looked and tasted stunning. I had a glass of the house red and it was fruity very low in tannins and therefore went well with my two fish dishes. Service was great and its outstanding value at €36 for...
