Au Père Lapin — Restaurant in Arrondissement of Nanterre

I had high hopes for this restaurant. It's certainly not cheap!

Three of us ordered the aged steak on the bone (minimum two persons at €50/person).

We all agreed on having the meat cooked medium/rare (slightly towards the rare side), and this is pretty much what we got - it looked good.

Unfortunately, the steak itself was not so great. Pretty tough, quite a bit of sinew, and nowhere near the quality you'd expect given the price. The outside of the steak was OK, but should have been a bit more charred.

This was served with chips (thick French fries), some of which were overdone (i.e. Hard and crispy!)...

No side salad or vegetables.

All in all, very disappointing.

Another colleague had a fish dish - it seemed fine, but he suffered an upset stomach that night/next morning - caused by the fish? Who knows, but it seems likely...

On the plus side, the waiting staff were very good. Our waiter was very friendly and welcoming.

Overall, I cannot really recommend the restaurant given the price/quality ratio.

Too expensive for the quality of food and services. The waiter was negligent. A person who seemed to be manager was walking around talking without wearing a mask! The table was small and the ice bucket to keep the wine cool was placed on the table which took up space. We asked for a stand and the waiter seemed reluctant to bring one. The ambiance was honestly not good from that moment... The food was just average, nothing special. We took the starter and main dish but still wanted to try also the dessert. Our expectation for this place was high as introduced on website and good rating on google. But the peach roti was completely disappointing because it looked sad! Une modification????? que NENNI !!!! Je confirme toujours et encore le même plaisir!!! Nous étions 11 réunis , sur la terrasse, de verts ombrages , la 1ére douce soirée estivale de l' année.. quel bonheur !!! À l' accueil notre PASS sanitaire nous fût demandé, avec le sourire . Notre serveur lui aussi , souriant , compétent, actif, attentif, un service des apéritifs et mets dans les règles , et sans attente, tous les convives servis en même temps ! Bref délicieuse soirée dans un lieu de charme , à quelques encablures de Paris !!! Vous qui lirez ce message, ne passez pas votre chemin ! Stop , vous rateriez un joli et gustatif lieu, plein de promesses pour votre palais et ... j' y reviendrai bien EVIDEMMENT MERCI à l' équipe...
