Super kind people with a great hospitality.
Normally, we (or the majority of Paris visitors/lovers) do all search the restaurant options mostly in Paris’s down time, e.g. in Saint Germain Les Pres etc. but that night, we arrived quite late to the hotel and we found this beautiful place which was close by our hotel “by coincidence”. We decided to give a try. Culturally, the head is a bit bold choice outside Turkey for me, but I knew that Great French Cuisine is also serving everything from the animal ( having an experience from Les Hollandais in Amsterdam, and trying before the fried brain, which was great (dear vegeterians, vegans, percatorians, sorry, I know a bit tough, but, i needed to give at most details) encouraged me here in Paris too. ) I ordered “the head” which was delicious, not only the meat but sour sauce, I am not exagerrating. Meeting “la” cheffe was also a bit surprising because woman cheffes are not so many nowadays.
Although the kitchen was about to be closed, the team was quite flexible and didn’t refuse us and extended their hours exceptionally.
I think the food maybe “okey/exceptional/average/great” in every restaurant, everywhere, but a warm welcome a warm “goodbye” (and “hope to see you next time”) is priceless. So warm welcome and ao warm goodbye here❤️.
Next time, I or my wife will try the fish. Super curious about it 😀 Thank you team. All the best and wish you a...
Read moreI kind of picked this at random and made the ~20 minute walk from my La Defense hotel. This was easily the best meal I've had in all of Paris. The foie gras was perfect, the seabass was succulent, and the raspberry mousse dessert was a great way to end the meal. They have an extensive wine list, but being from the states (where wine is a bit simpler to choose "Cabernet Sauvignon, California" woohoo) and not having a terribly refined palate, I let them choose for me. Unless you know French wine, I definitely recommend this route. It was a perfect pairing. The restaurant is gorgeous, the view to the street is wonderful, and the service is perfect, very welcoming. This is...
Read moreEverything was well intended but sadly very lacking. The onion soup was warm and tasteless and not gratinee. The snails were a disaster, the salade gourmande was an enormous pile of inedible slop. Presentation was awful. The servers appeared to be the sons, and though very personable were pretty useless. The wine needed to be decanted but wasn’t. I am sure a lot of folks writing reviews are nice about their experience only because it is a small family business that is obviously floundering. But I think I can be of more help to the owners by telling them the truth. It’s not good and they need to rethink totally what they are doing before the...
