I rarely leave bad reviews on Google, but I have to write this review in order for future travelers to have an informed decision before booking this hotel.
In summary: Booked for 4 people (3 beds), but only 2 blankets provided, and the sofa bed didn’t have any linens. No wifi access from the room in the entire duration of the stay. Lack of safety. My sister got locked in the bathroom and there was no one in the hotel who could help her, except for the receptionists who didn’t know what to do. Mentioned all of these concerns to the hotel at the end of our stay, but their only response was “goodbye”. You can hear the snoring of the other guests next door. You can hear someone doing repairs (hammers) from upstairs - it was impossible to have a peaceful nap.
Upon our check-in at night, we were told that we cannot request anything at night and have to wait until the next morning.
When we saw our room, the sofa bed didn’t have any linens nor blanket, even if we booked for 4 people (1 double bed, 2 single beds). And as we were told not to make requests at night, my brother had to sleep using several clothes as blanket to warm himself.
There was no wifi access from the room. When we reported it, we were told to restart or disconnect, but still the same issue. Next, we asked if we can be moved to another room with wifi access, but we were told other rooms are also experiencing the problem. Apparently, they already had complaints in the past years about wifi access from several rooms, but didn’t do anything and just kept on lying to current guests that it’s exceptional or that it will be fixed the next day. They said they can move us to another room but they need the response of the manager, which we never got until the end of our stay. We asked if we can get reimbursed if we buy a sim card to access internet but it was ignored. Only solution provided was that we can access the wifi from the reception area, with the other guests. If they don’t have wifi from some rooms that they can’t fix, they should be transparent about that (don’t lie to and claim the room has wifi just so you can get more bookings) in order for future guests to have an informed decision before booking their hotel.
Then, during our last night, my sister got locked inside the bathroom. The lock was faulty and old. We asked for help, and they said we can use the common bathroom in the reception instead. We insisted our sister is locked inside the room, and getting suffocated. They had no repairman available. The receptionists weren’t able to open the door. It took almost 30 minutes until my sister was able to go out, thanks to efforts of my brother, while the employees were more scared about destroying the door in exchange for my sister’s safety.
I mentioned all of these concerns to the hotel, and that they should inspect the rooms for faulty locks. What would have happened if the guests were on a tight schedule to leave for a flight? Or how about in case of fire? My brother and I insisted that they file a report about this event, both verbally and in written form.
The only response I got from the hotel about all of these concerns were “good bye”. Very unprofessional, and they don’t seem to care about their guests. I will definitely not stay at this establishment again in the future, and will warn others I know about...
Read moreThe location of this hotel is really perfect within a short distance from Puteaux Center, La Défense and access to public transportation. The hotel could be amazing but it definitely needs some upgrades here and there. We were there in February 2024 and now in September and we can really see that it’s not going in the right direction. But the concept is great. There is even a garden accessible for guests and the layout of the room is good but then comes a level of service that could require some additional arms. Cleaning of the room upon arrival was very superficial not to mention that the small balcony was still completely left untouched from the previous guests who had left everything there from breakfast to ashtray. And considering that as part of the package- and it’s ok - the cleaning is done once a week it would be appreciated if it could be cleaned in the first place. As a cleaning crew how can you possibly miss the balcony when the room is 20m2 with one window? Then the “kitchen” has the absolute minimum equipment. Don’t expect to find a simple wine glass or a bread knife - pretty basic equipment. We could get one wine glass from reception - so new that we had to wash it ourselves to remove the marks - and we asked for a bread knife that never came. People at reception try their best to assist but for us checking in mid afternoon took forever precisely over 40 mn although we had done the pre check in on line. So between the check in process and the cleaning of the balcony we had already spent 1.5 h to finally settle down. The bathroom was spacious but like many other parts in the building very tired. Rooms with balcony are really recommended although we experienced people living above having no scrupulous dumping their cigarettes 🚬 and ashes on our small balcony where we would have liked to eat but since cleaning takes place once a week we had to live with the cigarettes from above. We know it’s a 3 stars and therefore we should not have crazy expectations but we still have expectations especially because we knew the hotel from previous stays. If not already done I invite the manager of the hotel to visit the 6th floor, come out of the elevator and pretend for just a second that you are a guest landing in the hotel. Some people have clearly been vomiting here and there big times. Perhaps too many Olympic celebrations or whatever but as a guest it’s definitely not entertaining to pass by these areas a few times a day. I don’t think it would put the business at risk to invest in some small over carpets to hide the disgusting damages but apparently nobody has been thinking about that. So all this to say that either they are really on a low budget or someone is not doing the job. Sad because it could really be a super spot. Last but not least, we of course openly expressed our small concerns at the reception so it’s not like we’re stabbing them in the back but strangely enough hotels are normally very eager to get customers evaluations, it’s even written in big letters in the elevator- but this time we didn’t receive any request for evaluations so that’s why we are posting our review here. ||Sent...
