Saperlipopette — Restaurant in Arrondissement of Nanterre

I recently visited this highly rated restaurant with three friends. Although the ambiance and initial service were fine, our experience quickly took a downturn. After spending around 1.5 hours enjoying our drinks and meals, a waiter asked us to settle the bill prematurely, without a clear explanation.

Shortly after paying, the manager approached us and asked if we could move to an unprepared table outside the terrace (where there wasn't any client and the waiters weren't going) , despite one of us having just a small amount of beer left (and I mean the glass was less than a quarter). This abrupt request, even after we mentioned we were actually leaving in 5 minutes, felt like we were being pushed out.

While the manager claimed to be polite, this behaviour was far from acceptable and left a sour taste after an otherwise pleasant evening. Politeness doesn't justify poor treatment of customers. We were good while we kept ordering but after we have paid,...

We came in with friends with a baby - super unfriendly staff, they seated us at a nice table. "The kitchen will open at 1900." So we had to wait 30 minutes for the kitchen to open, ok cool - but after ordering a bottle of wine and a cheese plate, 40 minutes has gone by, and a new waiter comes over. "I'm sorry to inform you, but we have 100 people coming in and you cannot stay." No previous explanation, no compromise or highlight to make the experience less worse. With a crying baby now, we are forced to leave to find another restaurant. Upon leaving, manager did not offer any further help and did not say a word. Literally worst customer service I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Nightmare scenario, never coming here again and highly do not...

Went for dining this Sunday, reservation done via The Fork. Everything went smoothly, quickly seated in a nice corner.and offered some olives while looking at the QR menu.

Our waiter, Theos, was delightful and professional, counselled the best wine for the dishes ordered.

Food was great. Main dish was memorable. Portions were.not.huge but if you order the menu (40euros) it should be enough for a normal eater.

The menu of three courses was served in an effective gastronomic manner. I should applaude Theos for the good timing. Not too much waitiing in between dishes, just the sttic necessary.

In a global tone, this is a restaurant i would totally recommend...but do not...
