L'ardoise — Restaurant in Avignon

Dining at L'Ardoise in Avignon was a delightful experience that exceeded my expectations. I opted for a main dish featuring a duo of gambas and fish, accompanied by perfectly cooked potatoes, and it was truly exceptional.

The gambas were succulent and flavorful, while the fish was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The accompanying potatoes were a wonderful complement, adding a hearty and satisfying element to the dish. Each component of the meal was well-prepared, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail.

The portion size was generous, providing excellent value for the quality of the food. I left the restaurant feeling thoroughly satisfied, both in terms of taste and portion.

What a fabulous spot! We had a lovely dinner here and were well looked after by the very welcoming and friendly staff. There were some delicious options on the fixed price menu, including good vegetarian choices - which isn't a very common occurrence in French restaurants. One of our group had celiac disease and needed a GF meal, and they were able to accommodate them as well. We all rolled out the door with happy tummies full of deliciousness and all of us already looking forward...

Very pleasant place to eat and chill in. Foie gras mi-cuit au cognac was absolutely perfect. Encornets au curry were succulent. In brief, here you can find copious amounts of french food and excellent dishes from Southern France. Everything's homemade here. Waitress were really nice and friendly with us. Lirac and Beaumes De Venise wines are proposed : these are very fruity and sweet Southern Rhone wines. The street is nice and flamenco guitar players played for us...
