For my main course, I chose the "dos du lieu noir" – a dish that truly showcased the chef's skill. The black pollock was perfectly cooked, with a tender, flaky texture and a delightful flavor that was enhanced by the expertly crafted accompaniments. Each bite was a testament to the freshness of the ingredients and the thoughtful preparation that went into the dish.
For dessert, I opted for the "fondant au crème de marron," and it was nothing short of divine. The chestnut cream added a unique and luxurious twist to the classic fondant, making it rich, smooth, and indulgent. It was the perfect sweet ending to an already fantastic meal.

The steak is fantastic and my wife’s chicken salad was really really good. This is bistro cooking at it’s finest, each dish had a touch of grace and it is clear they really thought about what to add. The welcome was great and the ambiance is lovely, carved out of an old Avignon house. They have renovated since the google pictures and have very comfortable chairs. The dessert was also fantastic, we had the chestnut tart but i spied a fantastic looking tarte tatin also. We may not return to Avignon soon because we live in Australia, but to eat here on the first dinner out after our wedding was very special and this place now holds a special place in our heart. the burgers were average (we ordered both the meat and vegetarian options), the potatoes lacked flavour and didn’t come with a dip (it would have been so much more elevated with aioli for example)
