The review comes in two parts. Firstly, it seems to be an undiscovered gem in Avignon, as it is about 10 minutes' walk from the heart of the tourist area of the city. I made a reservation but there was no need to as I was the only customer they had all night. But it was one of the best meals I had ever had, on a par with Michelin star quality. The server was very rude, said the restaurant was not there for people to just drink a gin and tonic and have a snack even though the establishment has "Cafe" clearly in it's name. She also harshly placed, almost slammed, our food on the table. There were plenty of tables available so we weren't talking about table from any dinner seekers, it was 13:00. Would never recommend. We didn't realise at the time that this was very fortuitous as we returned to Le Lapin Blanc and had our best evening in Avignon. The young lady chef described the menu to us in English, later she took our drinks order and cooked our food to perfection. Nothing was too much for this talented super chef.
