O'Collins's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Avignon

The food is great for a pub, they also stay open longer than most places in the area and they serve food until 11pm. I had such a fun time there the two times I went while I was in Avignon. The band playing was fun the night they had live music and one of the bartenders had just a really fun spirit we kept dancing around. It was just a pleasant time in general. I got fish and chips (in the spirit of the Irish pub) and it came with a nice salad and home made tar tar. It was delicious. I would come back every time I’m in Avignon. Really great place. Good service and good music even when it’s not live. They have a good playlist....

Beware. I think it may be if you are not a local but it may not be. We went there to watch Rugby (France vs Wales) as we were advised the atmosphere would be good. I purchased a pint that was 8 euros and gave a 10 euro note. The girl wouldn't give me change. Acted too busy and then disappeared. The same girl refused to show my wife the screen of the card machine when she paid for a round. When my wife insisted, she cancelled it and inputted another number. I suspect it may just be the tourists judging by other comments, but it may not be. Just make...

If you’re not French just don’t do it. Don’t come here and you will be better of. The waiter thought we wouldn’t understand and said something to himself mentioning our incapacity to speak French while he seemed pissed off. In an IRISH PUB mind you. Not a single smile as well. Maybe it’s better in the evening or on weekends.

Edit: the manager saw my review came out and asked about our experience. He offered something for free and we decided to switch from a 1 to a 3 star even tho I didn’t...
