Located in southern Biarritz in a lovely residential neighbourhood, with an excellent outdoor terrace (if you can snag a table) and a unpretentious charming interior. The staff is warm, friendly and resourceful. The food was a bit of a mix. It definitely aspires to the Fooding type of cooking. Creative, fresh and seasonal with a wine cellar that is mainly (but not exclusively) bio. Mostly the dishes are shareable and that seems to be the intention. We had dishes that were excellent and a few that were ok but not more. At 50€ each for a multi course dinner I can live with that but I don’t think it’s what they aspire to. There is no wine menu. You go to the ‘cellar’ with one of the staff and they walk you through your options. It’s the second time I’ve experienced this in recent months here in France, maybe it’s becoming a thing. Not sure how I feel about it yet but why not. Anyway I’d definitely come back to Chéri Bibi for more. Probably next time I’d ask the staff what they recommend that day. Anyways thank you for a lovely...

If the weather is warm, the terrace is a great spot to enjoy their menu of highly seasonal, extremely pretty and flavoursome plates, also served on beautiful vintage plates.

In fact, almost the whole menu is covetable. Pair your main dishes with a glass form the ample natural wine list, or explore their cave if you want to buy a bottle. Such a good time! Can't...
Read moreAs a group of 8 people, you can only choose between a surprise menu of 35€ or 45€ as we were told before going to the restaurant. The menu changes daily and half of it falls in the category of “Vegetables and Cereals” and the other one on “Meat, Fish and Crustaceans”. From the 5 dishes that we were served, 4 of 5 were “Vegetables and Cereals”. None of us is vegetarian and after 3 vegetarian plates, we asked if there was any meat or fish coming to our table. For 45€ there was vegetables, beans, a pasta with tomato sauce and a roast with potato, carrot and almost none chicken. Some of the plates were very basic and do not worth the price paid for. It seems that we were served the plates that weren’t asked for on that day for the rest of...
