Le Blé Noir — Restaurant in Bayonne

We recently travelled for 3 weeks through France on a family Holiday and spent 2 weeks around the amazing Biarritz. I brought my son to this place one day for a crepe and coffee and to enjoy the view. Big mistake, 2 crepes arrived 20 minutes after ordering and I had to leave having never received the coffee that I ordered. The arrogant little waiter ignored me when i tried to remind him about the coffee and left me standing and waiting to pay while he ignored us and cleaned tables, When i was eventually allowed to pay and I asked for a reciept he pointed at the shop across the road. As an Irish man, I expect people to be friendly and helpful especially where you are paying for goods or services. This guy was the worst I have ever...

Google, please implement a zero star review system because 1 star is too many for the experience we just had. I’m in shock. We received half of our order. The other half came w/o cheese - very simple thing to fix - and then we wait very patiently for almost 2 hours for the rest of the order, which never came. When we got up to leave, the waiter STOLE OUR PHONE; the chef verbally accosted us in front of his staff, yelling sexist profanity until we paid MORE than the check. THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY 36 years OF LIVING. DO NOT GO. After getting the order wrong, we stayed calm. Ordered beers, continued waiting. After 1.5 hours, we asked again. He canceled our order, and stole my phone to hold it hostage bc I didn’t want to pay for my 2 euro coffee after such a horrible experience. They had the tiny horrible little chef screaming profanities at us, calling us “stupid girls” put my phone in his pocket- until we paid MORE money, extorted us for more money to get the phone back.
