We visited Le Chaudron twice on our recent holiday and would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. It is exceptional!
The food is delicious, the portions sizes are generous and they have a wonderful menu with lots of choice. The cote de boef was a firm favourite.
The wines are beautiful! In particular, we loved the reds. The Chateau Taillefer Pomerol was wonderful.
On our most recent visit, unfortunately one of our party began to choke during the meal. (Nothing to do with the food, except perhaps we couldn't wait to eat it!) Eddie ran over immediately and performed first aid, helping to quickly resolve the situation. He is a wonderful host and he proved to be quick-thinking and extremely pro-active in this scary situation. We cannot thank him enough.
The owners of this restaurant are extremely helpful and welcoming. The atmosphere was very relaxing and the whole place is very clean. A very short walk off the main road, this is truly a hidden gem!

Read moreEpitome of Basque cuisine and service. All the cuisine is made from fresh and local ingredients. We enjoyed the family friendly service so much we ate here twice on our short stay in the region. If you like French fries don’t pass the chance to sit down and have a bowl with some of their bbq lamb or beef. The burgers are top as well. The idyllic setting a bit above the center of town and on top of the market can’t be beat. Plenty of space for children to run around at dinner. Tag! Your it. Milesker pour votre Hospitalité! On egin! Disfruta bien! Bon...
