This place is a real gem and I’d say worthy of a trip from Chamonix if you aren’t staying local like we were. We came here two days in a row for lunch and breakfast, everything we tried was amazing. The staff were very accommodating and friendly even when super busy. The coffee was on point. The seating and atmosphere are very relaxed. Lastly the price is also super reasonable for the quality. Family of 8 with coffees was €75.

in search of crunchy freshly handmade bread in different styles ? then this is the local place you don't want to miss. Except the coffee that is just above average, the bread is exceptionally good. All sorts of pastries are available to have a great snack on the go or inside. Note to the parents : the toilets are not equipped to change a baby diaper. The store is very well decorated, nice ambiance. Very busy during high season

If you are vaguely nearby and you're hungry, you would be a fool not to visit. These are the best pastries I've ever eaten, bar none, and I'd go back to Chamonix tomorrow just to eat more if I could!! Apparently award-winning croissants, but we opted for pains au Chocolat, almond bread and pain au swiss.....all of which were amazing

Supposed to be open today, but closed, and no notice in window. It may be closed for a month, between seasons, as many shops are, so put a notice in the window and/or update the opening hours on Google, the later of which was supposedly only verified by the owner just 3 weeks ago. I drove 15km based on your reviews, not happy. If a customer can’t rely on internet info being accurate, and the owner doesn’t bother putting a notice in the window, reputational damage will follow, and money will shop elsewhere for good. I see now from past reviews that this is not a new problem for this business. Lessons are not being learned. Please don’t comment, as you did to a similar review in October, that you feel a 1 star review is unjust, that a PM would have been better - you must take fair public criticism...

The best and favorite bakery these last three years.

But have to mention that today I had a disconcerting experience that wasn't cool. I ordered a hot chocolate and waited as others were made, until I seemed the last one waiting and one was left on the counter. A minute later the taller, older woman with glasses came over and said it belonged to someone else. I said sorry, it wasn't noted anywhere, and she quickly asked if I paid for it. I said of course, and she said well if you

paid for it, keep it. She was quite rude and inferred I had stolen the drink, no apologies given. Uncool service. I wouldn't have cared if she had apologized, even briefly

Otherwise, the other staff and owners have...

Unfortunately, my husband got food poisoning after eating a baguette here. We’ve been eating the same things every day during our trip, and the only difference was that he ate a sandwich from this place and I didn’t and he ended up getting really sick. It might have just been bad luck, but it ruined a part of our trip, so I wanted to share our experience.

Update after response: The sandwich was eaten right away, it wasn’t stored in a backpack or anything like that. I appreciate the reply and explanation about the sourcing and hygiene checks. It may have been just bad luck, but still wanted to share...
