The food was fine, but the staff tried to hide the meal of the day option (it was a pizza or tortellini) after hearing us speak English. They literally moved the chalk board out of our sight, but we had already saw it. I asked to order it and she said they were sold out. I asked how she is sold out of pizza at a pizza restaurant, and she stated that she meant the meal of the day with tortellini was sold out and reluctantly gave us the deal with pizza. All of the next customers who came in after us got the tortellini. It's a shame that a business will treat tourists so differently than the locals. The waitress was working very hard and seemed embarrassed about it, so I'm guessing that she has a boss who's directs that behavior. The food was good. And the environment was far more welcoming than most of the other restaurants in town. My anxiety would literally go through the roof because of the resistance I received by staff from other restaurants due to my inability to speak the language. The waiter actually smiled and assisted me with any questions I had. The pizza was good and very thin. I loved the spicy oil they offered up with it as well. There was a woman who walked around, whom I’m not sure if she was the manager or owner, but she actually attempted to speak to the guests and make the environment feel more welcoming. This placed saved me arriving in argentiere at half past 9 in the evening. This was the only place open at that time so I went in without too much of an expectation, but wow. All the staffs were so accomodating, I could actually feel that they care about the customers. The place was full but I was kindly offered a seat on the bar where I could listen to the live music going on right next to me, such a great atmosphere it was.
