BRASSERIE RESTAURANT LE SAVOIE — Restaurant in Bonneville

In the centre as part of the village square this brasserie has a large outdoor seating area and ample indoor space. Popular with diners it didn’t lack custom… but it lacked something. Compared to the many French restaurants we frequented during vacation there was a lack of warmth or atmosphere here. It felt like any other busy street “cafe” and the food was at best quite average. The burger meat nothing special, the brioche bun disintegrating after two bites, the steak chewy & accompanied by an “curry-esque” tasting sauce that wasn’t pleasant. If all the places we ate this last fortnight, this one we’d skip returning...

Worst service we have ever experienced! Upon entering to request a table, we were asked to wait outside (!) while the tables were prepared….strange and off putting to be welcomed in such a rude way. The waitress refused to take orders until the whole table was seated and was extremely rude to everyone at the table. The food was actually very good, but the experience was horrible due to the attitude of waitress. The waitress needs a career change. Don’t waste your money here, go to a restaurant that appreciates...

Normally this place is great experience but today, not so much. We ordered 2 gallettes (savory crepes) and 2 ice-cream sundaes. When the food arrived it was clear one of the gallettes was not cooked fresh and the other was not what we ordered. The sundaes came in hot glass dishes so were basically milk shakes - oh and no spoons were given to the kids. A catalogue of mistakes I wouldn't have thought possible with 4 simple dishes.

You should go though. Just hope you don't get...
