La Louisiane — Restaurant in Bonneville

I have been coming to Samoens for 20 years - La Louisiana used to be good but in the last 18 months they have turned their attention to scamming tourists.

You will go there and they say they can find a pizza chef (it’s a pizza place) first time this happened I thought fair enough - the meal was atrocious.

18 months later, if half term in February and surprise surprise still no pizza chef.

I can eat other things if it’s nice, and that’s the problem it was horrendous.

I paid €27 for a cambered and 6 pieces of ham which was a ‘special’ and it came with two potatoes that had skin on and were boiled.

Avoid this place - worst place to eat in Samoens and this is coming from someone that has eaten at this restaurant for the last 18 years.

This is not a biased review it’s the truth - done believe me? Go see for yourself. - I also don’t review anywhere, it’s that bad I wanted to warm people from these scammers. I would rather put my money .. .. … then spend it...

Quand vous salivez d’avance à l’idée de manger une bonne fondue Savoyarde, & que vous vous retrouvez à vous dépêcher de rentrer au chalet pour manger le dessert.. C’est ce qu’il s’est passé pour nous lors de notre visite. Un accueil pas forcément des plus chaleureux par le serveur (le barman cependant était très souriant), un mécontentement en réalisant qu’il fallait qu’on se déplace pour pouvoir aménager les pots de fondue.. & ah! La fondue tant attendue, parlons-en! Fondue de vin avec quelques bout de fromages au lieu de l’inverse. Nous étions au total 9 à prendre une fondue, & apporter seulement 2 pots paraissait un peu limite. Pas étonnant que le serveur se frottait les mains en comptant le nombre de fondue demandées, sachant qu’elle coûte 25€ par personne. Une bonne fondue vient en général avec une petite portion de charcuterie, & bien à la Louisiane, c’est en supplément. En revanche, elle vient naturellement avec des petits croûtons de pain, & je crois 4 petits bols de salade (encore une fois à partager entre 9 personnes), & si vous voulez un bol de salade de plus ? Vous l’avez deviné, c’est bien en supplément. Heureusement que la vinaigrette était très bonne, même si je ne peux pourrai pas affirmer qu’elle soit faite maison. Avec la fondue est inclue un petit shot de liqueur locale, le Génépi. Après avoir attendu un moment après que nos assiettes soient débarrassées, ne voyant pas les shots arriver, il a bien évidemment fallu les réclamer. Je reste persuadée que si nous n’avions pas demandé, nous serions encore entrain de les attendre comme une autre personne l’a mentionné dans un autre commentaire. Awful service, food arrived after half an hour of waiting and the starters and mains arrived at the same time. DO NOT get the mixed meat starter its dry and hard, could get more out of a sharing meat platter at ASDA. After the waiter tried to argue that we were in fault that out mains and starters came at the same time, they put the pizzas back into the oven for a further 20 minutes causing the pizza to fuse to the plate forcing me to pry it off the plate.
