On the first day here at Megeve we were reccomended to have dinner at Le Comptoir d'Alice. The experience was awful. The forks and knived left at the table for us to bring in front of us, same with wine glasses. The menu ONLY in french. We were 8 people so we asked for fondue among other (very limited choices for food). There were 3 choices (natural, mushroom, truffles) we ordered the truffles at 38 euros. The waitress said that the portion is recomended for 2 persons so we ordered 3 pots. We got 2 but realised that the portions were Ok so we didn't remind them of the 3rd pot. We also ordered the black angus fillet, wagyu burger.. nothing was edible, only highlight the butternut soup. Back to the fondue case: When the bill came we were charged with 38 euros x 8 persons = 304 euros. We asked why & the waitress told us that the price is per person not for 2 persons. ON THE FRENCH MENU with VERY BAD ENGLISH from the waitress' we were literally mislead. Apart from the very central location the restaurant is not worth the try and too bad that it was recommended from the hotel we stay at. They are risking their reputation too. The total bill was 922 euros while the 1/3 was the fondue!! I give them the choice of the wine which was really nice at 48 euros. Stay away if you don't want to cry for the money you lost and the empty stomach..

Made the job. We went on the “re-opening” day, but from the moment we placed the order to get the dishes we had to wait 45 mins. The dishes were ok, but nothing more (we didn’t order fondue or hot stone). If you go, order the “rapins” , those were good! but got sold out so we could not re order. Service was very kind and attentive, they apologized for the wait.

We had dinner here and we loved it! The portions are quite big and also the service was really fast and polite. All the dishes we tried were cooked very well and were very tasty. The tables are kind of small and also there was a mistake on the steak doneness but this was probably due to language barrier. Anyhow, recommended!

Ordered a vegetarian burger and then additionally asked if it contains products that I am allergic to. After checking with the kitchen that the burger is suitable for me, I ordered one. Sadly, received a meat (chicken) one. I am allergic to pork and have not been tested for chicken allergies. Thankfully I did not have to rush to a hospital. The waiter did not apologize, just said that "i made a mistake" and kept repeating it. Have been a vegetarian for 14 years and the mix-up made me throw up and feel bad for days. The service was bad. Asked for a second veggie burger to make sure the first one was chicken, but the waiter forgot about it, had to ask them again. Sauce seems to be re-used for every client as I've found a frie (assuming) from a prievious customer inside of it. The manager (at checkout) did apologize to my...
