Although our group of five had differing opinions about the crepes, I must admit that my personal experience at the restaurant left me somewhat unsatisfied.
The restaurant's charming location by the river and the attentive service initially caught my attention. Opting for the maxi crepe "Le Brevent" and a homemade chocolate crepe for dessert, I had high hopes for a delightful meal.
The crepe batter itself was undeniably delicious. However, the ingredients within the crepe were a letdown. I ordered the "Le Brevent," which prominently featured "goat cheese" as its primary ingredient. Regrettably, when the crepe arrived, it only contained a single slice of goat cheese that was not only overcooked but also disappointingly dry. The emmental cheese was good, but the white ham seemed neither fresh nor flavorful.
Moving on to dessert, I found solace in the well-executed chocolate crepe. The chocolate was of high quality, and the crepe struck a pleasant balance between the batter and the chocolate filling.
In my view, the restaurant's strength lies in simplifying and refining its menu to focus solely on crepes, offering a curated selection of 8-10 options (for a main course). This would enable the kitchen to work with fresher ingredients and ensure a higher level of execution. Additionally, maintaining consistent ingredient portions between maxi and regular crepes could be substituted with offering both size options, introducing a creative twist to the dining experience. This strategic shift could undoubtedly enhance the restaurant's appeal and...
Read moreWe had high expectations for this crêperie, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. While the crêpes were mediocre, the children's pizzas were truly awful. Our children, who normally eat all their pizza and even a slice of their sister's, could barely eat one piece of their own pizza. This is unusual for them and says a lot about the quality of the pizzas. I tried them myself, and they were indeed inedible.
When I brought this to the owner's attention, all I received was a "sorry." Despite the owner seeing that the children barely touched their pizzas, nothing was done to make it right. We ended up paying 106 euros for 2 crêpes, 3 pizzas , and 5 colas, with the pizzas ending up in the trash.
Overall, a very disappointing experience and definitely not...
Read moreThe waiter did not let us sit inside even though there was space. The female waiter was rude, and even though there were 2 empty tables in the tarpaulin covered area, she told us to sit outside. The female waiter seated the people who came after us inside. I went downstairs to use the toilet and there were many empty seats downstairs. I did not like this rude waiter at all. It was very cold because it was snowy. We had hot chocolate and tea as drinks. The tea was okay but the hot chocolate was like water, its consistency was bad. The...
