Le Trappeur — Restaurant in Bonneville

This was our second time dining at La Table du Trappeur, and it certainly did not disappoint! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality and excellent service. The restaurant's cozy, chalet-style decor creates a charming alpine atmosphere, making it the perfect place to enjoy a delicious meal.

The food was outstanding—every dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented. The flavors were rich and authentic, truly showcasing the best of French cuisine. The wine selection was also impressive, perfectly complementing our meal.

Be careful how you book the restaurant. As there are two separate restaurants with the same name: one belongs to the hotel with hotel guests and another one downstairs, which you see on the pictures. I booked the restaurant via the reception of the hotel (even though gave the right name of the restaurant) and I was unpleasantly surprised that I had to go to the hotel restaurant, which I understand shared the same kitchen but had a very different vibe. The food was not great. The special was the roasted chicken which was not well cooked lacking any spices. After taking our plates away the table was not cleaned before...

We loved this restaurant. Great location to center of Megeve. The staff was attentive and helpful with recommendations that were delicious. Everything we had was fantastic, Their tartiflette and chateaubriand were great. Each dish that came out of the kitchen looked and probably tasted fantastic. The most memorable was the dessert, apple crepe with ice cream. We are still talking about this extraordinary pastry days later...can't say enough good things about...
