The hotel is quite nice looking and calm but the website it very misleading because it says they have a outdoor and indoor pool with sauna and steam room however this is a complete lie and when you get there and ask about the pool at the front desk they give you a towels and keycard to a public pool across the street. Another problem about this hotel is the service. There is not an other way to describe it but disgusting and rude, the waiter lied to us about a reserved table and made us move ; we then returned to see that the table we were told to leave from was not occupied. We asked for the bill and when we said the service was not good Hugo(the manger ) said “ if you must have the last word go ahead ” we were so disgusted and disappointed we had to tell his manager this is not how anybody should treat a customer or guest of a hotel, when we went to check in for the hotel the man at the front desk ( tall, curly hair, black and has squared glasses ) was incompetent and misleading and we pre booked to rooms next to each other and when we checked in he said that they were on completely different floors. These are just a few examples as to why you should consider not coming to Novotel Megève Mont-Blanc.

Bright, modern hotel close to Megève centre. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate, we had booked 2 rooms (as a family of 5) and they kindly allocated us interconnecting rooms). The bar is well tended with a range of expertly-made cocktails. Breakfast was varied, with fresh pastries, cakes & breads, yogurts & fruit, as well as hot bacon, eggs and sausages. It was fresh and utterly delicious. The kids enjoyed watching the chef making a stack of pancakes. Worth noting: we discovered that the pool isn't in the building but in a large complex next door, make sure you pack the right swimwear as the policy is trunks not shorts. There is secure parking under the hotel (signage on how to enter wasn't initially clear but a member of staff confirmed how to gain entry).

My stay at Novotel Megève was extraordinary, thanks to the exceptional staff: Lou, Lou, Claire, Juliet, Lily, Simon, and Ubaldo at the reception, as well as Jason, Béranger, Romain, Achille, Alexandre, Mohammed, Camila, Julian, Nadège, and Louis in the restaurant. Awesome breakfast! Every team member went above and beyond to ensure our visit was unforgettable, with our daughters reluctant to leave. The cleaning service was impeccable, maintaining spotless rooms throughout our stay. Ideally located in the heart of Megève, Novotel is the perfect choice for guests seeking a relaxing and memorable experience, surrounded by attentive and friendly staff. A heartfelt thanks to the entire Novotel team! We will be coming back soon!

Stayed for three nights in july with 2 adults and 2 kids (8&10). The hotel location was great, 3 min walk to Megeve centre and 1 min walk to Palais swimming centre. Free entrance to the pools and gym of the Palais is a huge plus because otherwise it would cost around 30€ per adult.

Hotel has a handy parking garage which costs around 20€ per night. Overall hotel is beautiful and cosy and the service is polite and helpful.

There was a couple downsides during our stay. First was quite limited selection of fruits and vegetables at the breakfast.

The other was the service at the dinner which was otherwise great, but when we selected kids menu for the children it said that it includes food, drink and dessert. Well, there was also a small print at the end of the menu that said certain juices are not included in the kids menu. It was partly my mistake when I did not read the menu properly, but it would have been nice that the waiter would have told us that juices are not included in the kids menu. Otherwise kids menu would have costed 16€ now it was 21€ because we chose wrong drinks.

Another dissapointing thing during dinner was that there was no lasagne left, which both of us adults would have liked to order. And also no churros, which kids would have liked to order for dessert. It is okay that sometimes all of the menu items are not available, but waiter should tell that when she brings the menus, not when we have finally decided what we want to order.

And one thing that hotel staff is probably not aware of are the noises in the evening. We stayed in room 130 and every evening between 9-10 pm someone started to move furniture for the next 30-45 minutes. It was not other customers, it sounded like a cleaning of a restaurant or a conference room inside the hotel. It was not overwhelming but the noises were disturbing kids sleep at least in our room.

All in all despite the few downsides I would recommend hotel to everyone and would stay...

Recommended for visitors who want to do lots of different things around Megeve. Not recommended for families with young kids who are primarily interested in skiing.

The good: breakfast quality is exceptional very modern yet cosy feel everything is clean and feels new proximity to Palais pool a big bonus robust and fast WiFi with good coverage staff is generally very friendly

The bad: shuttle service is infuriating!! A single mini bus for the whole hotel. Spent an average of 40mins per day waiting around. Rage inducing and appalling for a ski hotel dinner food options are extremely limited. If you have exhausted young kids you’ll have to trek them back into town for an expensive meal after a long day on the slopes ski cupboard in the basement are a travesty. Half of the locks are defective illogical lift design: only a single lift from ski room provides direct access to the exit but you can’t specifically call it. Have fun mashing the lift button and faffing while you balance your ski equipment thermostat in the room didn’t work, it was always far too warm and super thick blankets didn’t help forget about sleeping with open windows, there’s quite a racket from very early hours (at least on side facing access road) attention to detail lacking: no soap in the main ground floor bathroom??

Overall it’s a nice hotel but there are just way too many small issues that mount up to create a pretty annoying experience. I paid well over €600/night and expect my stay to be pretty perfect for this sort of money. There are better value...
