Beautiful café, very girly
The window-dressing for this place was absolutely on point. Even though we probably didn't need it, couldn't resist heading in.
We had a sirop de violette, an ice tea and a slice of pistachio & berries cake. Sirop was nice, they had a good selection of other flavours too so it was nice to try something a bit different. Wife didn't really like her ice tea as it was a little bitter rather than the sweetened kind she was expecting. I tried it and thought it was fine though. Cake was good, but it was more berries than pistachio.
From what we tried the cakes possibly looked nicer than they tasted. However would have to try their other cakes before I could back that up, and besides it was still good, so I didn't even feel bamboozled.
They were really busy when we came in and the poor girl that eventually waited our table got a bit of stern talking to when the boss noticed we were still sitting waiting to order. We didn't mind too much, we probably should have just said something instead of waiting patiently.
