Restaurant La Pomme d'Or — Restaurant in Bourges

We were in Sancerre for a week (biking, hiking, visiting wineries while a family member studied French at the school in town). We went to Pomme d'Or for dinner and it was one of the best meals I have ever had, certainly one of the best French meals - and this is coming from someone who does not tend to like long, fixed price menus. The service was friendly and down to earth, the atmosphere is modern yet comfortable, and the food and presentation was absolutely mind blowing. My wife and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The decor and atmosphere in the restaurant were perfect (it was great to see a family there). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, a great set of flavours and a really good journey through the different courses. It is clear that La Pomme d’Or is aiming for a Michelin star and, in my opinion, they are on course for this with slightly more attention to detail. I hope that one day I get to return to this...
