I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jardin d'Hiver, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by a beautifully designed space that truly feels like a garden oasis. The lush greenery and charming decor create a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The menu is a delightful showcase of fresh, seasonal ingredients, and it’s clear that a lot of care goes into the preparation of each dish. I opted for the seasonal vegetable tart, which was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. My companion chose the fish of the day, which was perfectly cooked and paired with a lovely sauce that complemented the dish wonderfully. The emphasis on local and organic produce is a fantastic touch.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations. We also enjoyed a bottle of natural wine from their curated list, which enhanced our meal perfectly.

Beautiful surprise! Yesterday was the first day of the new restaurant menu and the first time for me in this restaurant: simply beautiful mix of excellence like the quality of the products and of the preparation. I had chosen a sea bream filet as a starter (carnival of flavors), a filet mignon as a main course (rosé coked to perfection along with savory vegetables) and for dessert the best chocolate mousse I have never eaten! Les gazouillis d'oiseaux ça va deux minutes. J'aime écouter des chants de baleines, le bruit des vagues de l'océan et j'en passe, mais toujours à petite dose. Ici tout le long du repas c'est omniprésent. La carte est loin de valoir celle d'autres établissements Brestois (étoilés ou non). Aucune des entrées ne me convenait, et niveau plat j'ai du prendre un hamburger car la carte est très pauvre.... Franchement je ne vais pas dans un restaurant pour manger ce genre de plat, pour ça il y a des fast-food. Le service était correct bien que le personnel manque un peu de prestige : habillés comme tout le monde aucun effort vestimentaire, même dans certaines brasserie le personnel est plus élégant. De plus en ce qui concerne le service, le serveur n'a pas demandé la cuisson du steak, chose qui - normalement - ce fait et j'ai donc eu droit à un steak saignant (pas dégoulinant, mais tout de même) les steaks hachés doivent être cuit à coeur pour tuer les éventuelles bactéries.... N'importe qui ayant suivi une formation HACCP le sait. Le pain burger était au maïs.... Ben il était bien blanc pour du pain au maïs.
