Merci for making our arrival to and departure from Collioure memorable. We arrived after a long day cycling on the coast and needed to kill some time before our accommodation check-in, so we stopped here for beverages (great g&t, plus a swimming pool sized beer) and a plate of seafood (AFM). The atmosphere was lively, the staff were moving quickly but still had time to warmly engage or joke with patrons and the sheltered area was a nice reprieve for two cold cyclists. Very positive. Our last night in France, we chose this resto again. We were welcomed warmly and our lovely waiter moved us to a more interior table, out of the wind, after we had sat down. The food was delicious again, more oysters and the linguine del la mer (lots of seafood) for us. At the end, our waiter served us a "surprise" beverage. Both times felt like we were part of a big family event. A great memory of...
Read moreThis has to be one of my favorite places to hang out in Collioure. There is outside couch seating that is saturated in sunshine, the perfect spot on an early Spring day. I'll be honest and tell you I've only had the pleasure of enjoying what I consider to be the best oysters I've ever eaten! They are off the chart delicious and ever so fresh as well as the perfect size. They offer a nice selection of local wines by the glass and the bottle. The staff is super! They are friendly and attentive, always paying attention to the needs of their clients. I would highly recommend a visit to Bar de la Marine while in Collioure. You won't be...
Read moreI don't often feel moved to leave a review but we have just had a very poor lunch. We often used to eat here in previous years and it may have changed hands. The set menu fish balls contained very little fish. The razor clams were a bit better. The steak was terribly thin but still managed to be undercooked at one end and overcooked at the other. Children's menu chicken burger was not cooked. Side salad was straight out of an uninspiring supermarket bag. Wine only available by the glass - not a pichet- and expensive even for Collioure. Creme Catalan was okay unless you like the top properly brulee'd. Won't...
