We stopped by early in the afternoon in mid February so a bit early in the year. We were the only folks in the restaurant. The chef and his wife spoke virtually no English, but luckily my wife speaks some French. The were extremely helpful and friendly. I started with stuffed mussels while my wife went with fish soup. Followed by the grilled fish. Superb food. The mussels were great, probably the best I’ve had. Cam’s soup was wonderful. The grilled fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly. But then the chef suggested a dessert. Macaroons. Ok no big deal. It was a BIG deal. Out came these chocolate macaroons that were the size of English muffins. Huge! And the were delicious! Over the top good. We’ve been traveling in Europe now for several weeks and this lunch is still our standard. Especially the macaroons! I wish I had taken a picture of the macaroons! 😀

A wonderful meal cooked & served by a right friendly duo, the sea bream was magnificent & the home made dessert, melted in the mouth. Away from the crowds in Collioure, worth the walk & we left with big smiles, thank you

A little gem. Having arrived very late, just before closing, the charming hostess had to check if we could be served. To our relief the chef nodded his agreement and what happened next was a delight. From the first morsel to the last spoonful of dessert the meal was superb. Specialising in the freshest produce the chef prepared beautifully presented dishes and visits the table personally, to gather your opinion. The hostess, provides exemplary and attentive service without...

If you want to experience non-touristy food, skip the restaurants along the beach and walk up the road to L'Escale Bleue. On this off the beaten track restaurant, the food was exquisitely prepared, the presentation was beautiful and, more importantly the flavors were abundant and lingering on the first bite. I am still salivating over the risotto.....so delicious!! This husband and wife team provide excellent service in a intimate and cozy restaurant. We will definitely...
