U Casanu — Restaurant in Calvi

■ 5 stars for the amazing food, I think you cannot go wrong here, doesn't matter what you order. Limited selection of options on the menu, usually a good sign, mostly seafood so if you are not into that (like me) not a lot to choose from. ■ Waiter was very friendly and could explain everything in English, he was very busy serving all the tables so on a busy evening, you may need some patience. Food was served quickly though. ■ Location of the terrace is not that good, 2 or 3 stars for that, next to a street with the occassional motorbike/car racing by. While we found the indoor seating is a slight bit cramped we chose this option as the interior was air conditioned. The service was friendly, welcoming and helpful. The menu was much more interesting and authentic than most other restaurants in the area. We found that what we selected was probably the best food we tasted in all of our stops in Corsica, especially the grilled octopus which was the house specialty. This is one of the best restaurants in the world. My son and I dined here tonight. We each had a Cap Corse Blanc to start, then terrine figatellu and a cold pea soup with chevre. Amazing.
