LUM table / cave / épicerie — Restaurant in Carpentras

We had a fantastic dinner at LUM La Table in Vaison-la-Romaine. It’s a small, stylish spot with a warm, relaxed vibe — you can tell they really care about what they’re doing. The menu changes daily depending on what’s fresh, and everything is super seasonal and thoughtfully prepared.

We tried the Saint-Pierre and the gros dos de Sébaste, and both were perfectly cooked — delicate, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The service was friendly and helpful without being overbearing, and the whole experience just felt easy and enjoyable.

There’s also a little épicerie at the front with some of their favorite gourmet products, which was a nice touch. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for something refined but unpretentious....

Desppite the heat, the exterior catch the sun end June till approx. 20.00, we were the only guests opting for eating inside. We experienced warm hospitality from mother and daughter, both running 'the floor'. Typically we chose the 2 plat formula (starter +main). Both were a feast for all senses. Afterwards 'le Chef' visited all tables for feedback and small talk. Something we rarely experience in France. We had a wonderful 6-course meal that was excellent from start to finish. The chef chose our dishes and wine pairings and came out to check on us multiple times. He was very inventive with the dishes, yet most the dishes were based in traditional French cuisine. We savored every bite.
