BOULANGERIE ANGE — Restaurant in Chambéry

We went there for breakfast after staying in a hotel nearby. With a 7yo there's no way we can make the most of an expensive hotel buffet, so we came here and everyone got what they wanted for a fraction of the hotel price.

There's a big enough seating area, they obviously do take away, but even click and collect! Very friendly team, efficient service, fresh products, big variety of choices.

Later in the day we came past again when they were putting out lunch options and they had a huge selection of sandwiches and salads, all at reasonable prices.

If anything 3€ for an average takeaway coffee was a bit overpriced, but at 7am in the morning, I don't care!!

A lovely choice of bakery items but shame they cannot do a simple order properly. We ordered two baguette menus yesterday. Three people were serving us for some reason and it went completely wrong (too many people involved with one simple order) as when we got to the lake with our lunch we found a plain baguette which we hadn’t ordered, our order and squashed tarte framboise underneath 2 bottles of water! Bit of a disaster really. I would have thought a bakery would know not to tip tarte framboise on their sides with two bottles of water on top! All the raspberries were at the bottom of the bag! First time I go to an Ange bakery. I’m horrified by the good reviews left by foreigners talking about “tasty French bakery” 😱 The bread is ok, and the pastries are just industrial disgusting. I tasted the “eclair au chocolat” which doesn’t taste chocolate at all despite its black color, the “flan” which taste like the worst industrial ones, and the eclair au café and tarte au citron are of the same line.
