Buffalo Grill Chambery — Restaurant in Chambéry

The restaurant was supposed to open and 6, we tried the door but it was locked. We tried again around 10 minutes later, still locked! All the staff were sitting inside. We returned at 6.30 and there were surprisingly customers inside. We went in to get a table and were ignored by the waiter. I asked him if I could sit ourselves on a nearby two seater table but I was told to wait. Once sat at that table, we had to wait ages to order. We nearly stood up at left due to the ignorant staff. Eventually a salad arrived which was not ordered but must have been complementary and shortly our order was taken. We ordered two mojitos which were terrible. We then ordered some wine instead. The food arrived and it all looked a bit unloved. The burger was average and the steak poor, especially the jacket potato which looked old and haggled. The presentation was poor! During the main meal there was rain drops falling onto our table from the ceiling. We explained this to the waitress, she called another waiter. They both apologised but without much sincerity. If I’m honest I thought they would have offered a free coffee or something! Especially seen as the rain was dripping into our food! I really would not recommend this restaurant. We visited this place for a quick bite when staying overnight on travel back from Italian holidays. I was not feeling well that day, and was not in mood for the visit at all, still the place was a pleasant surprise in terms of quality and raste of served burgers, the extras (small salad to start off, free water offered at the start of visit - great gift during present hit wave). Special mention to the service: it seems to have taken the best side of USA experience (super motivated and engaged waiters) without the bad side (suffocating feeling that they are out for your money, as being paid starving salaries and living of tips - and so knowing all smiles and jokes are kind of fake). Here, we had a really nice interaction, lot of compassion with our unperfect French (while in past, French waiters would be less patient with unperfect pronunciation or no quick understanding) and forgiveness for the mishap with 🧂 Definitely to be...

On our way home, we decided to stop for some food, but our experience was far from pleasant.

The waitress, named Oceane, attended to us in the most disrespectful manner imaginable. Despite our efforts to communicate in French, she was rude and showed no respect.

Even though she only spoke French, we managed to convey our requests, but she deliberately responded quickly, ignoring our polite requests to slow down.

To make matters worse, I glanced into the kitchen and noticed a ticket with "inc" placed on top of a cooked meat! The inc is toxic for the human body!

After waiting for 1 hour and 20 minutes, our food finally arrived, but it was cold.

Needless to say, we won't be returning to this place...
