This was supposed to be a nice Sunday evening after a relaxing visit to a gorgeous town of Chartres. While many places to eat where closed on Sundays-Mondays, we tried Barsserie l'AnneXe for its look and a nice outside set-up for a dinner around 18.00. But, while the young waiter was very attentive, caring and nice (but in a situation where he was alone for service, as we have learned later), we were disappointed that the kitchen was still not working (the place was to be open from 12 till 22.00 with no metion what-so-ever that there is a different time-table for the kitchen) and, despited being asked by the said waiter to patient for 30-40 mins (over drinks), we could not see anything happening till 19.10 but just late staff coming in casually at that time. Thus, not wanting to build further tension (mounting on our side) we left - with a bitter feeling that we have fallen victims of a rather poor organization and information for the etablisement... That is a message for the manager / owner of the place, while we stay appreciative for the kindness of waiter...
Read moreVery disappointed with my choice for lunch. Travelled this morning from parthenay and used to eating lunch at places where the owner is in charge and cares about the service and food . Chose an expensive menu 35.90€ but the boy who served me was disinterested at best and insolent at worst. All the people on duty were young. Don't know whose money is at stake here but they need to take charge and ensure customers are welcomed and vauled. I have eaten lunch out every day for the past month in France, and I have to saythat regardless of age this was the worst service I encountered. Eg . After starting to eat my starter I asked where my aperitif was. The waiter was clearly annoyed to have been asked no apology...
Read moreI was visiting this Resto. I was ordering Poulet Farci, i was shocked with the plat. Just chicken breast which is boiled with sauces basilic on top and slad is really small without dresssing and french fried which is normal. And it costs 18e for this kind of food. It is not worthy at all for 18e. I dont know it is made by chef or just they do it by their own. Even normal people can do it better than this. It is so disappointed. Bad presentation and food.
