Came here on a sunday. We had some fantastic lunch and then a nice walk along the river. This was one of the few shops that were open and we felt like having some desserts.

So we bought several pieces of patisserie. Got two Eclairs, a vanilla/straciatella, an almond tartelette and a chocolate cake. All did look very pretty and nicely done. But besides the tartelette it was all a bit of the same. All similar, cream filled patisserie. Basically the same inside. Not really bad, but just very average and nothing exciting. We've had some amazing desserts in France and compared to other these items here were a bit of a let-down. Like I said, they were fine, but I was looking for something great.

Staff was nice though and the prices are fair. But next time in town I'll try...

10 years after it was my daily routine, this place still shines. The apple tart with red wine glaze remains a true masterpiece. They're not the only makers of tjis, but they do it justice. Patisserie is their strong suit. Their croissant and baguette work is solid but can be bettered (lighter croissant and less dense baguette). But these are personal tastes. The same great owner helps us with the same great style and patience with my French, which can not surpass that of a new borne baby. I can't...

After 5 weeks of touring France, we have here the best boulangerie/patisserie that we have found so far. Went there in the morning for croissants, pain au raisin and bread, all great. Went back for lunch desert, Paris-Brest and the local speciality of Tarte Vigneronne (apple Tarte with a Chinon wine confit topping). It was to die for. Keep up the good work, we love it!
