La Cuisine de Ba Noi — Restaurant in Clermont-Ferrand

This is not authentic Vietnamese food at all; it’s not at all comparable to the Vietnamese food you can get in Paris or cities in the USA. In fact, I think the food here is worse than the fast-food Vietnamese food I had at a train station in Germany. The noodles with shrimp: firstly the noodles are clearly store-bought from cheap grocery stores, not freshly made and not healthy (like “instant noodles”); secondly the shrimp was not fresh, it was clearly staying in a freezer for many days before being de thawed. The mixed platter appetizer was overpriced with very small portions, and all the dumplings tasted store-bought and not made in-house. I understand this is not Vietnam, but I have had delicious Vietnamese food at many small towns in France. The prices they charge are outrageous for the poor-quality: you can get this kind of poor quality from a 5 euro pre-made frozen pack from the chain Asian grocery stores in Paris/London/other big cities, yet you charge 15-20 euros for such dishes. The wait staff are not friendly; in fact they acted like they’re a very popular restaurant and insisted that we sat outside when it was quite chilly outside that day and even when we had finished our meals, very few people had showed up for the indoor seats (so they could’ve put us indoor instead of saying they were full indoor; since we were sitting outside near the entrance we could clearly see how many customers had arrived and they were...

Quel dommage La déco, le style pour un restaurant de ce type remonte sans aucun conteste le niveau car pour les plats mon entree assortments vapeurs c'est la cata pour 6€ au flunch j'aurais eu la même chose c'est à dire de congelé commander chez des fournisseurs à bas prix vendu ici 12€ et la cuisse de poulet 15€ bein la cuisson avec le laqué bien réalisé rattrapé la qualité de la cuisse de poulet 1er prix vraiment dommage tout ça j'espérais une cuisine au niveau de la déco et de l'accueil Peut importe le prix quand c'est bien réalisé mais là tout à revoir en cuisine on aurait dit qu'une cuisine bon marché s'installer dans un lieu qui se voudrait brancher centre ville enfin ça laisse de la place pour les autres Je reviendrai plus tard pour voir l'évolution Car le lieu reste agréable et bien optimisé . Un véritable retour aux saveurs de l’enfance ! Une cuisine exceptionnelle, authentique et subtilement modernisée. De l’entrée au dessert, chaque plat était un régal, préparé avec soin et parfaitement exécuté. En tant que Vietnamien vivant à Paris, habitué aux excellents restaurants du 13e arrondissement, je peux dire sans hésiter que cette adresse n’a rien à envier aux meilleures tables de la capitale. Le cadre est chaleureux, cosy, et le service à la fois rapide, attentionné et souriant. Un vrai coup de cœur à Clermont, une adresse incontournable pour les amateurs de vraie cuisine maison !
