The Salvation Jane Pub — Restaurant in Clermont-Ferrand

Visited here with my wife for beer and food, and we're so glad we did! We were warmly greeted by the bartender who instantly started speaking excellent English for us. We chose to sit at the bar and he engaged conversation with us the whole time. He was very knowledgeable about the beer selection, which included a few of their own brews.

There is a wide variety of seating choices on the main level (where you enter from the street) and there's a very spacious basement area as well which feels like an ancient cave.

The food quality is excellent. I had the Fish & Chips and my wife had the Chicken Bacon BAPS and we both commented on how flavorful they were. The place itself is great, all is decorated with soft touch wood and rock, the ambiance is well, especially the space downstairs, but definitely need to make reservation earlier. I had a beer without alcohol, it was quite good, full of hop scent with bitter taste at the end. The food was awesome, we ordered several times the assiette mixte with garlic bread and others also the chorizo bread, we all love those different dipping sauces served along with assiette mixe. Will be willing to try their fish and chips next time...
