Memphis - Restaurant Diner — Restaurant in Clermont-Ferrand

The food is amazing, the place is great and the staff is very friendly.

But something went bad: I ordered an extra spicy waffle burger and my partner ordered the original waffle burger (normal spiciness level), but they switched. We should've noticed that they messed up, considering that my partner was really suffering and I was alright but here's the deal: my tolerance to spicy food is way higher than hers and the original burger is spicy so we just assumed that the extra spicy burger is alright to me and she's suffering from the original burger. At the end of our burgers, we exchanged bites and oh my god, her burger was super hot. That ruined her experience. I get that they couldn't replace the burgers since we already finished them but there must be more attention for these things. It's a very good restaurant that shouldn't suffer from such mistakes.

An okay experience if you have kids along, otherwise skip it.

The negatives: The food was mediocre, burgers not cooked as desired, skimpy on the meat and slathered with sauce. Some fries and onion rings ok, others overcooked. The desserts were also mediocre - the ice cream cookie had frozen frosting inside instead of ice cream, the kid's strawberry donut tasted very artificial, only the apple pie was passable. Service was fast at the beginning because we were the only ones there at opening on a Tuesday evening, but got very slow as the restaurant got crowded.

The positives: The kids' meals were very cute, served in paper cars that our 4-year-olds loved. The restaurant is also very kid-friendly, with a kid's menu, booths and kitschy 1950s American diner decor. Also very friendly staff who accommodated us as English-speakers.

Loved it, food very good. There is so much choice that we will be back to try it all. Food is a bit expensive, but there is a meal deal to keep it reasonable even though drinks were a bit expensive (3,75€ for a Pepsi and 4,95 for a 33cl Heineken). Nice waiters and waitresses. There was a small delay for the food, but the waitress was well aware and apologised more than once. So the chips were cold. But overall, I am very pleased with our visit. However, I was very disappointed when I went to the toilets to find that they were just as bad as gas station toilets. The toilets were very well decorated but smelled extremely bad of pee. I looked at the last time it was cleaned, and it was in the morning. They should at least mop the floors between the midday and...
