We visited a cozy Alsatian restaurant that shines through its dedication to traditional dishes. Though the menu is limited compared to other local restaurants, the chef excels at classic recipes, offering a truly authentic experience.
The sauerkraut was beautifully seasoned, infused with Genevieve berries, cloves, and other spices that brought out rich, comforting flavors. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the pork knuckle with Munster cheese sauce—tender, flavorful, and absolutely unforgettable.
The restaurant is very family-friendly, with main dishes available in kid-sized portions and a convenient changing table for babies. The waitress was delightful—attentive, welcoming, and a pleasure to chat with.
The wine list is well-curated, featuring excellent local choices that complement the dishes perfectly.

I called ahead for reservations, apologized that my French is poor, the wife said she speaks English, but when I said , "But I practiced!" We proceeded in "French" and she remembered me 30 days later. Best meal and experience in a long time. We closed the place. After talking with the woman after the meal we left, the I ran back in to ask the meaning of the name of the restaurant. She said (to the best of my understanding) it is meant to convey that you are returning to another place like your grandparents place and another time for the good food of your childhood (if you were French and that was your heritage!)...
