Au Cinq Sens — Restaurant in Dole

Wow! What a great restaurant! We were lucky enough to snag a table, even on a Monday night. There is a nice patio and a small dining room that is made to look like the walls are rock. It has a really nice atmosphere.

The house starter tonight was a small bit of lobster tail with a scrumptious cream sauce. My husband's first course was a salmon terrine that had cooked salmon and asparagus in the jelly, topped with sushi salmon, accompanied by a wonderful cream sauce. Fabulous. His entree was filet mignon of pork that was tender and succulent. My choice was chicken breast stuffed with ham and mushrooms in a creamy sauce. The vegetables were perfectly prepared. I don't often get excited by restaurants these days but this is one not to miss. The marriage of flavours, the presentation, and the quality of ingredients were all fabulous for every dish that came to the table. Salle de restauration sous les voûtes, agréable et décorée avec simplicité et raffinement. La cuisine est de qualité. Le 1er menu est à 37 € (sans le fromage). Par contre, j'invite surtout un des 2 jeunes serveurs à se former ou à changer de métier ! Vraiment... C'est nécessaire pour la survie de cet établissement. A ce niveau de prix et de prestations, il est inconcevable d'être "menés à la baguette", sans aucun humour ni bienveillance. Le bouquet final était l'annonce du prix par personne haut et fort en fin de repas alors que nous n''avions rien demandé. Une façon malhabile de faire comprendre aux clients qu' ils doivent partir.
