I recently went to UN BESO restaurant in St Maxime, France, and I have to say it was an absolutely fantastic experience. It is owned by Valeira and Guadalupe, who are the most welcoming and friendly hosts. I had some of the most delicious empanadas I've ever had - they were homemade, fresh, and hands down the best I've had in ages, and I live in New York, where the Argentinian food options are abundant. Their wine cellar is super original and diverse - I tried a rose syrah which was simply divine. Afterwards, I ordered a chipa, which is like a cheese bread originally from northeast Argentina and Paraguay, but in gourmet version with turnips, peas, and lamb stock. It was one of the most flavorful and original versions I've had in a long time. And don't get me started on the flan with dulce de leche and cream - it was simply out of this world, and I say that as someone who has tasted many. Read moreAbsolutely amazing experience! All of the food we had was impeccable. Traditional and modern flavours. The portions are small but the quality is simply the best. Everything is made from scratch and it shows in the result. I would love to go back and try the rest of the menu!
The service was provided by the owners and you can tell! They serve you with attention and all the love they have towards this restaurant; which is clearly their dream. Congratulations to them for bringing the very best of Argentinean cuisine to the South of France.

Read moreWow!! My husband and I had the most incredible experience at this Argentinian restaurant!! He says that it was his favorite meal of our France trip :) The food, the Argentinian wine, the place and the owner are all amazing! We were so thankful that the kind owner herself came to explain every dish on the menu to us. The empanadas are so good and are all made in house. If you like spice, be sure to ask for the sauce they come with to come spicier. So good! We got one of the dinners for two which was a delicious way to try more food. And we ended with the flan and strawberry desserts. Best flan I've had in a while and the strawberries were so refreshing with the frozen custard. If we weren't just visiting, we would be...
