La Bohème — Restaurant in Fontainebleau

I live quite close to this establishment and I dined here once, leaving with a bad taste in my mouth. My mother-in-law was already sitting at our table when I entered with my young daughter in her stroller, and upon entry the hostess gave me a horrified look of pure irritation, as if I were intruding in her private space. Once I explained that I was lunching with my mother-in-law, the woman reluctantly let me sit under the condition I leave the stroller outside. Fine. We proceeded to have a meal with my husband and parents-in-law with service that indicated they couldn't care less about our presence.

The food was decent enough to warrant a second attempt despite the cold reception, and so on another recent evening, I entered with my husband and daughter. The restaurant was completely empty, and a few guests were on the terrace. We asked to dine and were refused, being told that the restaurant was fully booked. We left and ten minutes later, my husband called and managed to book a table for three in 5 minutes.

Average to below average food and HORRIBLE and extremely arrogant service!!! Extremely rude servers hardly pay attention to patrons. They almost scolded us when we tried to catch their attention by raising our hands. Who are they to think they are?? Also, here is the order of food they served us; Main - Entree - Bread. Accueil désagréable au possible. Nous venions simplement boire un café/prendre un verre. Il n'y avait aucun client dans le salon de thé (ni dedans, ni dehors). La gérante nous a accueillis d'une manière assez hautaine en nous disant que la terrasse n'était pas possible à 4. Ce n'était pourtant pas la place qui manquait. Le plus fâcheux a été lorsque nous avons décidé de partir en expliquant à la gérante que l'accueil n'avait pas été des plus sympathiques et que cette dernière nous a répondu "vous avez raison je n'ai pas envie de travailler..." Par les temps qui courent, et avec bon nombre de restaurants et de bars qui se retrouvent à fermer malgré eux pour des raisons de crise sanitaire (alors qu'eux sont des plus sympathiques), la réponse n'est tout simplement pas adéquate et encore moins commerciale...
