Had high hopes for this place as it received the trip advisor excellence but I was disappointed. First time going there, I had the banana cooked in butter with raisins, flambéed in rum (2/5). The banana and crepe were lovely, but there is too much rum! The rum completely overpowered everything else and I had to take advantage of the tilt of the table to only eat the non-rum-soaked parts of it.
But anyway, my boyfriend and I came back again the next day to give the place another chance to redeem itself. I had the grand marnier flambéed crepe with almonds and again, it felt like the chef poured a shot on my crepe after cooking it. Maybe I’m just not accustomed to the flambé method of cooking but the alcohol tasted so strong! Personally, I’d rate it a 2/5. My boyfriend had the crepe with hazelnut cream, chantilly and ice cream and it tasted sooo good (5/5).
