La Cassolette — Restaurant in Grasse

We had a wonderful time at the restaurant! The staff, dishes, ambience and quality were superb for what the restaurant is positioning itself as.

Without going into any further details, one point I'd like to address is the comments from two prior guests, who gave the restaurant low ratings claiming falsely that the restaurant is supposedly labelling itself as Michelin-starred but that it is not.

Its very clear that the restaurant is mentioned in the Michelin guide - this does not mean it is formally Michelin-starred. The restaurant is not claiming anything falsely. Its a basic knowledge that anyone who has a culinary inclination or uses that point as an argument for its Google rating should know. As such, I find the guest reviews on the Michelin aspect as highly misleading and unjustified.

While I have no stake in the restaurant or even know the owner, I feel that being fair with guest ratings is very important since such bad reviews, if unjustified, can really hurt the reputation of the restaurant and impression for...

After our first visit a few months ago we couldn't wait to come back. Nothing has changed about the high quality food and extraordinary hospitality. We had the lobster risotto (to die for!), the filet de boeuf (on point), the sea bream (perfect thin crispy skin) and the poulet with truffled mashed potatos (super tender). There is only a few dishes on the menu but all of them are perfect. Quality instead of quantity. The restaurant in located in the heart of Vence's beautiful old city. We followed Michelin’s recommendation and found this cute little restaurant in the heart of Vence old town, in a square next to the church. We sat outside and enjoyed the breeze despite the hot summer weather. Our waiter was very nice and helpful. The food was very good, and we couldn’t stop eating the fries (our waiter said they used a special kind of local potatoes and a secret recipe). The beef carpaccio was refreshing, and the fresh truffle risotto was very flavorful.
