Our best meal in Antibes! We had brunch here yesterday. Valerie, our host, was simply lovely and took very good care of us. Charming setting, and we felt very welcomed. The food was high quality, fresh, and delicious! Their expertly prepared food is what I envisioned when we came to visit France, but so many restaurants we've visited have missed the mark. Not this one! The cooked egg in glass with truffle scent was divine and cooked right in front of you. Such a unique presentation. It was accompanied by potatoes and smoked salmon that melted in my mouth. My friend had the pork dish of the day, and it was outstanding and so succulent! We had an excellent rose as well. We loved the food so much we wanted to come back for dinner. They are open for breakfast and lunch only, so we asked Valerie for a recommendation for dinner on par with her offerings. Read moreI made a reservation for lunch before we left home (Minnesota). The restaurant's setting is beautiful: you walk under a "gate" to an open courtyard. Menus are hung on the wall surrounding you. The server brought a small amuse bouche (salmon pate, nicoise olives, and crisp slices of baguette) and they were devoured fairly quick! Next, we were presented with two Plats du Jour: Cod with Camargouse Confit and a Mushroom Dish. My wife ordered the Cod, and I ordered the The Cocotte Egg with Truffle Scents and its spectacular cooking. The egg was cooked in front of you for 5 minutes and it is ready for consumption.
