La Petite Garoupe — Restaurant in Grasse

Overall a terrible experience.

The restaurant was busy when we arrived. We asked for a table and a baby chair. We were seated at a table for 2 and were told they can’t fit a baby chair. We asked if they could move us to a different table as they open up. A table opened up but they didn’t care to accommodate our request.

My husband ordered a filet. We weren’t asked how we want it cooked as the servers rushed through all ordered. When the food arrived my husband noticed that the steak was completely raw inside. He asked if they could put it in the oven for a bit. It came back soaked in oil and still raw inside. My husband is not a picky eater but the steak was not eatable. My husband let them know and sent it back but they ended up still putting it on our bill and argued with us about having to pay for it.

Unfortunately the other dishes were also not good. Meat/seafood ravioli were not fully cooked and not very flavorful, the fries awful, the bread not fresh.

Terribly disapointing. I ordered a Truffle Macaroni in which there was only a slack taste of truffle and terribly dry pasta, my wife ordered a fish of the day which was as tiny as a fish finger and nit cooked properly and to finish we ordered a strawberry cheesecake which was absolutely everything execpt a cheesecake, no paste, no crackling, only a greek yogurt with strawberries on top…

90€ addition for a total disappointment!!!

On the positive side, nice and warm service except when we have something to say regarding the food.

Clearly a place to avoid for food but a great place to enjoy the sea view...

Incredibly rude manager and would not recommend! Was told off by the manager for wanting to order two cold drinks and guacamole/chips despite all of the other tables being empty. When the food came it was a very small portion and very overpriced. Strangely all of the tables were marked reserved for the whole time we were sitting there which were never claimed by people, which makes it clear that empty tables must be a common phenomenon for them and for a...
