O'Ptit Juan Restaurant Pizzeria Cacher/Casher — Restaurant in Grasse

This was one of the worst restaurant experiences of my families lives.

As we walked in and sat down, we were told the table was reserved, which seemed strange given that the whole restaurant was literally empty. And that when my family had attempted to eat here the day before they were told no reservations, under any circumstances.

The rudeness of the waitress, standing there wearing sunglasses and answering her phone as we were ordering was like nothing I have seen.

Once we ordered, the chips arrived and we were disappointed to see they were not fully cooked. We asked to change them for cooked chips, and the waitress got visibily angry with us, before GRABBING A CHIP FROM THE PLATE and eating it in front of us - I suppose in an attempt to check the crookedness of the chips? It was surprising behaviour.

Having ordered 6 pizzas, sides, and drinks, we asked the waitress to bring some pesto sauce and some extra parmesan for the pizza. We were told they had neither of these items. We said we would pay if that was the issue, and they reiterated they did not have the items.

You can imagine it was quite surprising when we looked at the pizza counter moments before we left to see a giant tub of pesto, and a huge chunk of parmesan cheese.

The attitude, rudeness and frankly poor quality of the food and seeming hygiene of this restaurant would lead me to recommend you visit any one of the other friendlier and tastier restaurants in this town.

🙌🙌🙌Une très belle expérience !🙌🙌🙌 Voilà un spot qui mérite le détour ! Tout d'abord idéalement placé, à 3mn de la gare à pied d'un côté et 2mn de la plage de l'autre. Comme d'habitude, voici le récap :

Prix très corrects au vu de ce qu'il se pratique aux alentours Carte variée sans trop en faire non plus, qui propose des entrées, pizzas (et au véritable feu de bois s'il vous plaît !), de magnifiques poissons d'une fraîcheur inouïe, et qui plus est bien servis, des pâtes vraiment alléchantes, et des desserts classiques mais efficaces (d'ailleurs mention spéciale pour la crème brûlée qui a un ptit goût de reviens-y comme on dit dans le sud !) Restaurant très propre, tout comme les toilettes (et oui je suis toujours aussi maniaque, désolé 😜) Et là, ce qui se fait malheureusement de plus en plus rare, quel accueil !!! Tout ce qu'on aime : le patron et la patronne souriants, avenants, chaleureux et tellement agréables ! Ainsi que le personnel très à l'écoute du client !

J'ai pris un complet poisson fantastique, il n'y avait plus de thon, je me suis rabattu sur le loup (qui était fantastique, et en plus désarêté sur demande). Mais ce qui est normal quand on travaille uniquement avec du poisson frais. La prochaine fois, j'appelle avant s'ils peuvent m'en mettre un de côté ! Mais tellement bien servi qu'on oublie vite la déception 🥰 Quand vient l'heure de partir on a encore envie de rester ! Crème brûlée trop addictive, on en mangerait des tonnes Quand j'ai vu une pizza sortir du four à bois, j'étais dégoûté de ne plus avoir faim tellement je voulais l'éclater !

Very impressed with this friendly restaurant. We arrived late in the evening after a bad experience elsewhere and we were glad to be greeted pleasantly as soon as we arrived outside. The owner tried to get us a table asap and when we decided to get takeaway instead we were still looked after well. It was a bit loud and crowded for us but the welcome and the food were great.
