So disappointed.
I live in the city. I had been to this restaurant 2 times last summer and to be honest I liked it a lot, until last Saturday.
I made a reservation to reduce the time I should wait for the paella in the restaurant. However, instead of being served on time (19:00), we had to wait 45 minutes for the paella that I reserved. And 45 minutes is the normal time that we should wait without reservation. So that means I made the reservation for nothing.
A friend of mine brought a small birthday cake with her and asked the restaurant if we could have the cake later. The restaurant AGREED, only WITHOUT telling us that we should also pay for the cake that WE BROUGHT OURSELVES an extra fee to them (15€, almost as expensive as the cake itself). And when we had the cake, they told us that normally we shouldn't bring food by ourselves, and they didn't say anything about the extra fee even when we payed the bill. It was my friend who found out the "strange 15 extra euros" on the bill, then the restaurant gave us the explanation.
They could have told us about the extra fee IN ADVANCE, so we wouldn't have the cake in the restaurant ; or they could have as well told us that we shouldn't bring the cake in the beginning. But charging without telling, TO ME IT SOUNDS LIKE A FRAUD. No matter how great the food in your restaurant can be (and by the way it's not that great), we are not going there...
Read moreReally nice place, with good food and lovely sangria. However, when we first sat down, the waiter didn’t give us a chance to fully look at the menu, and asked if we would like paella. My friend and I were happy with the mixed paella with chorizo, but he failed to tell us it was €25 per person. Whilst it clearly stated this on the menu, it wasn’t clearly marked on the chalk boards, and as I said, he didn’t give us a chance to look at the menu. Something to bear in mind, probably our fault for not looking throughly enough, but it wasn’t confirmed with us. It took a little while for the bill to come, and the waiter was a little rude to us on our way out, as were some other customers that were about to be seated! Even though we are English, I don’t think he realised we understood what he way saying😂 but the paella was good, and they were very clear that we would have to wait 35/40 minutes to receive it, which was reassuring to know it was fresh and tailored to...
Read moreIt’s a touristic trap they served frozen seafood be carful there because you can get a stomach revolution afterwards like me. My partner half Spanish and we are foodies from the seaside of England we recognised straight away that it’s something wrong (half portion of prawns was okay and other plain and unfrozen ) so they served again the seafood paella, it came the same taste but more spicy… I guessed to cover the taste. The famous chef from the pic of menu came out and he tried to Convinced us that it not frozen. I got a stomach bug afterward on my first day of holiday.. really bad experience. Chef in the end committed he overcooked but charge us full price...
