Bar Au RENCARD — Restaurant in Grenoble

The location is nice and there are many tables outside to enjoy the view of the Halles right opposite the bar. Service is nice and friendly and it is a pretty good place to spend a night in town.

Unfortunately, in an area with loads of great options for bars, this one is a little pricey with their average IPA beer being a little over €8 a pint. They have a decent wine selection which could potentially be a better value option. Food platters are OK but not exceptional either.

On the plus side, they do host regular English speaking social events which are a fun time most of the time and service is always nice...

Accueil chaleureux en temps normal, mais j'ai été très déçu ce matin par l'attitude peu respectueuse de la serveuse (Virginie) qui a s'est montrée particulièrement désagréable à notre égard. Son impolitesse et son manque de respect du client révèle un professionnalisme plutôt médiocre. Je précise aussi que je n'ai jamais eu de problème avec les autres personnels de l'établissement, que je suis un client plutôt sympa et respectueux d'autrui.

Virginie a cetainement oublié que dans le commerce c'est le client qui paie et que cela mérite un minimum de courtoisie et de respect. Ce matin nous étions un petit groupe de personnes, nous avons été tous outrés par son attitude plus qu'incorrecte. Nous ne remettrons donc plus les pieds dans cet établissement qui mérite pourtant mieux qu'une serveuse aussi...
