Bistrot Marsellus — Restaurant in Grenoble

Really good lunch. Reasonably priced, generous portions, and a great menu.

We had: Cesser salad Fish Fried Camembert Poke bowl - salmon Pasta in cream sauce Kids menu - hamburger steak with fries Steak tartar Drinks 2 deserts In total we paid 140€, which after a week at the mountain paying double, was a welcome change.

We were immediately welcomed, and although they didn’t have a table immediately available inside, we were offered either their terrace now, or 5-10 mins for an inside table.

We decided to wait.

Soon as we sat down I was able to order for the kids while the adults were figuring out what they wanted.

Everything was well prepared, I didn’t have to send anything back (except for the pasta we didn’t want prosciutto and they accidentally put it, NBD).

I passed by many times during my visit to Grenoble. I finally decided to try lunch, and was very glad I did. It was a mild day compared to weather back home, so I asked to eat on the sidewalk terrace. They definitely thought I was a bit weird but were very gracious nonetheless. I enjoyed the tartare de boeuf avec frites - a generous portion that hit the spot perfectly accompanied by a glass of red. I took a couple of photos to send back to the Canadian deep freeze, had a quick espresso, and headed off for more shopping and sightseeing. With just over an hour before our train departure on a Sunday evening, Bistrot Marsellus offered us exactly what we need - IPA beers, great burgers (Marsellus!) and fries for the hungry hikers on a chilly evening.
