*I'm writing this review few days after my visit and hopefully this will be useful to those they want to visit it and the owner of the restaurant if they want to improve because I don't recommend it.
*When passing by the restaurant it makes you feel that you want to experience it, the decoration is typical Indian. *At the entrance, the gentleman in charge was welcoming and made a huge effort to receive us because we didn't have a reservation. *Another waiter tookover from him and handed us the menus and never mentioned anything. *When ordering, I decided to have the mutton curry and the waiter stated that they have no mutton available(it should have been said when giving out the menus). The prices looked very affordable until I saw the portions. I decided to have the lamb tikka and my companion the chicken curry with two rice bowls, cheeese nan and the deep fried vegetables as a starter. The waiter never mentioned anything related to the portions and just said that the lamb tikka comes without sauce. *Food didn't take long until we received it. *The lamb tikka came in 3 cubes, dry, over cooked and doesn't taste tikka or any idian flavour. *The chicken curry portion wise was better but still the indian taste wasn't there. *The deep fried vegetables were good as well as the cheese nan and the rice is normal as you can get it anywhere.
Overall, the service was ok however it is missing out a lot in communication. The waiter never mentioned anything related to the size of the portions. I have been to many indian restaurants and this was very disappointing. Knowing Grenoble, I rather go next time to one of the fast food restaurants around the corner, more tasty...
Read moreNot recommendable due to bad behaviour (cheating & lying) despite of the tasty food.
First of all the waiter was hitting on my wife when we were about to order! Then we ordered Palak Paneer. We got rice with a tasty sauce. As we realised that there is no Paneer we told the waiter. He said "Oh I'm sorry I will immediately bring it" as he would have forgotten to bring it but you can read in his eyes that this is not the case.
Then he brought the "Paneer". As my wife knows from India she realised that this withe thing is no Paneer, so she complained to the waiter. After some confusing explanation he finally confessed that this is soya. So he was lying to us! And furthermore got offended as we confront him to that fact that they are cheating and lying to us. Nevertheless the rest of the food was tasty, that's 1 star.
Just very rude...
