The views are nice but everything is very expensive and if you want to travel around like to another city or get near the mountains for 2 people it will cost you around 70 euros. Plus very rarely you can find someone that is speaking a little bit English in a key point location. I was trying to get informations at the information desk in the central train station and"no English". People are rude by jumping in front of you with every occasion and bumping in you without saying sorry like is something normal. The only nice place that customers service was nice it was at a coffee shop in town centre where we spent 15 euros for one latte, one croasant and one cuckies. But again the lady it was speaking with me in French (which I don't). After third days we want to leave that pleace really bad. Probably it wasn't for us but maybe you can find something to...
Read moreWithin 30 seconds we instantly regretted our decision and hammered on the glass begging to get off. It was met with a level of French "I-couldn't-care-less" that surpassed my wildest expectations. Luckily, as it turns out it's actually alright and the view from the top is 100% worth the gut-wrentching fear of the loosely-held-together cable car. Safe to say, we chose to walk down the mountain instead as the risk of our legs breaking was clearly less than the risk of the cable car having an episode. Not only that, but we were attacked by a snake on the way down. Would have been a five out of five had it not been for the sheer terror of the ride and the venomous snake...

When I arrived in Grenoble for the day, I visited the tourist information centre, which I was surprised to see open on a Sunday, and the lady working told me Abu the cable car when she gave me the map...I had to go on it 😁
It was quite a cloudy, windy day and I was told that the best time to visit the Bastille using the cable car was around 3pm so I took the advice.
I paid around €5 for a one way ticket as I wanted to walk back down and queued for no more than 10 minutes before I was on the car. Some of the locals, I found out, refer to them as the eggs 😊
The view on the way up was breathtaking! I recorded the ride and couldn't get enough photos! It was an amazing way to see Grenoble and a quick way to reach the Bastille.
Well worth the ride for the small fee, a...
