Le Galion — Restaurant in Le Havre

For a nicely located restaurant, the service is just terrible. We get to the restaurant and there is a line of 4 couples or so. No one is at the door to great them, so everyone is just waiting. The restaurant has empty seats but there is one person serving everyone. Eventually they let 3 couples go in after some 20 minutes wait. Some time later (10 minutes), 2 of the couples were already leaving because no one was serving them. Then the server comes to the people lining up ( some people waiting 45 minutes) and just tells them, « sorry kitchen is closed… “. Some people ask what else they can have, anything because the kitchen wouldn’t run out of everything, the owner/chef comes out and starts telling people to leave and no one will be served. She was so rude and couldn’t even bring herself to apologize for having people wait that long and not offer them any food. Vegetarian Burger was really good ! I loved it. There was a little incident with the host. We were a group of 8 and They wanted us to sit at one table but we choose to sit at different table. And the way host reacted was not appreciable! ( I cut one start for that incident ! )

It would have been better if they had asked us to move to another table or they could have said that the table was reserved.

Apart from this, the food was best ! 😋 My friends had Vegetarian Pasta and Salmon Fish, that was delicious too!😀 Definitely recommend this...

Go to this place without doubt, but remember not to smile, because smiling is forbidden in this restaurant especially for staff. Only minimum politeness is tolerated, no more. Remember tgat cold food is much better for health, or not really, but you will get cold food here, it's okay, it's summer. Do not try to ask the waitress for help, she hates this place as you will after you lunch/dinner. However, you will be happy to get the bill.
