Restaurant du Perrey — Restaurant in Le Havre

Would definitely visit Étretat for a hounded times, but ZERO time for this restaurant. The food was extremely awful! The fries were not cooked or fried properly, still have the raw taste of potatoes, and it was cold also. The bread was horrible as well. The moules was just ok, not the best. The only thing which was great was the view, that’s all. 2.5 stars in general for the review was way too high for them, should even get lower. Do trust the review next time before entering the restaurant.

I‘m sorry that the review was a little bit harsh. But reviews are truly based on customer’s appreciation. “Homemade” doesn’t mean that it always has a good quality. Bad is bad, sorry for being honest.

I was simply telling people my experience. If it was good, I would definitely put good words on you, but unfortunately it wasn’t. I’m not a guy still saying “très bien” even it doesn’t taste good at all.

Do I know French cuisine? I had been staying in France for about four years, and I had tried plenty of French food during then. I guess four years wasn’t short, and unfortunately the “moules et frites” in this restaurant was by far the worst one I have even eaten, especially the fries and the bread as I said. I truly didn’t understand that how is that possible to screw up these two simple things.

I believed these were the reasons I was not happy for the bad experience I had at your restaurant. I apologize for making you unhappy after seeing this. I’m simply speaking from my heart.

If I could give Restaurant Du Perrey zero stars, I would. What was supposed to be a romantic date night turned into an absolute catastrophe.

To start, our reservation was completely ignored. We arrived on time, but we were left standing in the cramped, chaotic entryway for over half an hour. When we finally got seated, it was at a table practically in the kitchen. The noise and chaos were unbearable.

Our waiter was an absolute nightmare. He was rude, dismissive, and clearly had no interest in serving us. After waiting an eternity to place our order, he got it completely wrong. My girlfriend’s escargots never arrived, and instead of the boeuf bourguignon I ordered, I got some unidentifiable slab of meat that was tougher than a shoe sole.

The food was beyond disgusting. My girlfriend’s fish was raw in the middle, and my so-called steak was charred to a crisp on the outside and stone-cold on the inside. The side of vegetables looked like they had been sitting out for days, and the bread was stale. Even the “house special” wine tasted like vinegar.

Restaurant Du Perrey is an utter disgrace. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else. This place managed to ruin what should have been a lovely evening. We’ll...

As I can not add a reply to the answer to my review, here it is:

Your reply only shows everyone your lack of customer service and politeness.

And no, you don't remember me at all as I didn't even speak with anyone in your restaurant. It was my girlfriend that requested our food and none of us complained in-loco.

So as a recommendation to improve your services I would definitely recommend trying to understand your customer complaints instead of pointing the finger at them without even knowing what was the issue.

I know you have a busy business to run and that your customers are mainly 1-time customers. But they still deserve a good service.
